What You Need to Know About Call List Scrubbing?
A Step by Step Guide*
  1. Familiarize yourself with the National Do Not Call Registry policies. These can be found at telemarketing.donotcall.gov.
  2. If your company is not exempt it must be registered with the National Do Not Call Registry before it can place unsolicited calls. Registration can be completed here.
  3. After you have registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you will be issued an Organizational ID.
  4. Determine how many different area codes you will be calling. If you need help finding the total number of unique area codes in a list, contact us and we can help you.
  5. Subscribe to the area codes that you will need from the National Do Not Call Registry's web site. You will be issued a Subscription Account Number (SAN). The annual cost is $62.00 per area code, but the first five (5) area codes are free. The annual cost to purchase the entire National Do Not Call list is $17,050.
  6. Use your SAN to login to the government's website and download the Do Not Call files for the subscribed area codes.
  7. Check to see if any of the states you are calling require registration within their state or have state Do Not Call lists.
  8. Use one of our software packages (Scrub DNC Pro, Scrub DNC, One DNC) to remove numbers found in your phone lists.
